Michael Einziger is an American musician, composer, and record producer. He is best known as the guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Incubus. He has also composed music for film and television, including the score for the film The Island. Einziger was born in Los Angeles, California, and began playing the guitar at the age of nine. He attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and graduated in 1994. He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied music composition and theory. In 1995, Einziger co-founded the rock band Incubus with vocalist Brandon Boyd, bassist Alex Katunich, and drummer Jose Pasillas. The band released their debut album, Fungus Amongus, in 1995. The band achieved mainstream success with their 1999 album Make Yourself, which was certified double platinum in the United States. In addition to his work with Incubus, Einziger has composed music for film and television, including the score for the film The Island. He has also produced and co-written songs for other artists, including Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, and P.O.D. As of 2021, Michael Einziger's net worth is estimated to be roughly $20 million.
