Michael Kraus is a former German swimmer who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada. He won a bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay. He also competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, where he finished fourth in the 4x100m medley relay. Kraus was born on 26 September 1955 in Gladbeck, Germany. He began swimming at the age of six and was a member of the German national team from 1972 to 1976. He was a member of the German team that won the bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Kraus retired from competitive swimming in 1976 and went on to become a successful businessman. He is the founder and CEO of the German company, Kraus & Co. He is also a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Kraus is married and has two children. He currently resides in Munich, Germany.
