He attended the University of South Carolina and turned professional in 1979. Holland has won four PGA Tour events, including the 1985 Honda Classic, the 1987 Memorial Tournament, the 1988 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, and the 1989 Nestle Invitational. He also won the 1993 Senior Players Championship on the Champions Tour. Holland has earned over $4 million in prize money on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour combined. He currently resides in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
