Mike Woods (Australian footballer) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1945 to 1952. He was a member of Melbourne's 1948 premiership team. Woods was born on 1 August 1926 in Melbourne. He was recruited from the Northcote Football Club in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). Woods made his VFL debut in Round 1 of the 1945 season, and went on to play a total of 97 games for Melbourne. He was a member of the 1948 premiership team, and was a regular member of the side until 1952. Woods was a versatile player, capable of playing in a variety of positions. He was a strong mark and kick, and was known for his courage and determination. After retiring from football, Woods worked as a salesman and later as a publican. He died in Melbourne in 2019, aged 97.

At school Woods excelled in swimming and Australian football. In the navy he won a heavyweight title. After World War II, Woods played football for the Old Melburnians in the VAFA and in 1949 he joined the Melbourne Football Club in the VFL. He won the best first-year player award and played as a ruckman and defender. In 1950, Woods was selected to represent Victoria in the Australian National Football Carnival. He retired in 1953.

Woods was born in Melbourne and attended Melbourne Grammar. In 1944, Woods joined the Navy and was commissioned to HMAS Nizam. In 1952, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with a commerce and social science degree. He furthered his studies at the London School of Economics.
