Milan Bizovičar was a Slovenian film director, screenwriter, and actor. He was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and studied at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. He began his career as an actor in the 1950s, appearing in several Slovenian films. He then moved into directing, and his first feature film, The Big Adventure, was released in 1961. Bizovičar went on to direct several other films, including The Big Adventure, The Big Adventure 2, and The Big Adventure 3. He also wrote and directed the television series The Big Adventure. He was awarded the Prešeren Award for his work in film in 1988. Bizovičar was 79 years old when he passed away in 2006. He was married to actress and singer Marija Kogoj, with whom he had two children.
