Milan Kalina is a former Yugoslav handball player who was born on 13 August, 1956 in Belgrade, Serbia. He is best known for his successful career in the Yugoslavian national handball team, where he won several medals and awards. Kalina began his handball career in the early 1970s, playing for the Yugoslavian national team. He was part of the team that won the gold medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, and also won a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He also won several medals at the World Championships, including a gold medal in 1978 and a silver medal in 1982. Kalina retired from professional handball in 1984, and since then has been involved in various coaching and administrative roles in the sport.
