Milan Williams is an American keyboardist and founding member of the funk band The Commodores. He was born on 28 March, 1948 in Okolona, Mississippi. He attended Okolona High School and later attended Jackson State University. Williams was a member of the Commodores from 1968 to 1986. He was the lead keyboardist and wrote many of the band's hits, including "Brick House", "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Nightshift". He also wrote the instrumental "Machine Gun". Williams left the Commodores in 1986 and went on to pursue a solo career. He released his debut solo album, Milan, in 1988. He has since released several other solo albums, including The Journey (1991), The Best of Milan Williams (1995), and The Best of Milan Williams, Vol. 2 (1998). Williams has also composed music for television and film, including the theme song for the television show Martin. He has also composed music for the films The Five Heartbeats (1991) and The Preacher's Wife (1996). As of 2021, Milan Williams' net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
