Mirek Switalski is a Mexican sports shooter who was born on 20 March, 1952 in Mexico. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and a bronze medal in the same event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He also won a gold medal in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis. Switalski is a member of the Mexican Shooting Federation and has been a member of the Mexican Olympic Committee since 1984. He is also a member of the International Shooting Sport Federation. Switalski is married and has two children. He currently resides in Mexico City.
