In 2008, he was appointed as the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, a position he still holds today. Al Shamisi has been instrumental in the development of Abu Dhabi Ports, which has become one of the largest and most successful ports in the world. Under his leadership, Abu Dhabi Ports has become a major hub for international trade and a major contributor to the UAE’s economy. Al Shamisi is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Al Shamisi is married and has two children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his family.
