He initially began as a batsman, but considering his height (six foot and six inches), coaches advised him to become a bowler, and since this he plays as a right-arm fast bowler. He made his Twenty20 debut for Lahore Qalandars on 10 February 2017 in the 2017 Pakistan Super League.
