Momcilo Krajisnik is a Bosnian actor and politician. He is best known for his role in the Bosnian War, where he served as the President of the Republika Srpska from 1992 to 1996. He was also a member of the Bosnian Serb delegation to the Dayton Peace Accords. Krajisnik was born in Zabrdje, Novi Grad, Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. He studied at the University of Sarajevo, where he earned a degree in economics. Krajisnik began his acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in several films and television series. He also served as a member of the Bosnian Serb Assembly from 1990 to 1996. In 1996, Krajisnik was indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on charges of genocide, crimes against humanity, and violations of the laws or customs of war. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to 27 years in prison. He was released in 2013 after serving two-thirds of his sentence. Krajisnik is currently living in Belgrade, Serbia.
