Morgan Lewis was an American composer and songwriter. He was born in Rockville, Connecticut, and began his career as a pianist and arranger for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. He wrote the music for the Broadway musicals "Finian's Rainbow" and "Two on the Aisle," and the film "The Pajama Game." He also wrote the popular songs "How High the Moon," "The More I See You," and "That Old Black Magic." He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "The More I See You." He died in Los Angeles in 1979.
