Muhammad Bawah Braimah is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the Minister of Interior since 2017. He was born on 28 November 1959 in Ghana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Birmingham. He began his political career in 1992 when he was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Bawku Central Constituency. He has since held various ministerial positions in the government of Ghana, including Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, and Minister of Interior. In 2017, he was appointed as the Minister of Interior by President Nana Akufo-Addo. As Minister of Interior, he is responsible for the security of the country, including the police, immigration, and border control. He is also responsible for the management of the country's natural resources, including forests, wildlife, and water. Muhammad Bawah Braimah is married and has four children. He is an active member of the New Patriotic Party and is a strong advocate for the development of Ghana.
