Mustapha Khalfi is a Moroccan politician who has served in various government positions since 1999. He was appointed Minister of Communication and Spokesperson of the Government in October 2013. He was also Minister of Tourism from 2007 to 2012. Khalfi was born on 1 January 1973 in Kenitra, Morocco. He holds a degree in law from the University of Mohammed V in Rabat. He also holds a master's degree in public law from the same university. Khalfi began his political career in 1999 when he was appointed as a member of the Moroccan Parliament. He was re-elected in 2002 and 2007. In 2007, he was appointed Minister of Tourism and in 2013, he was appointed Minister of Communication and Spokesperson of the Government. Khalfi is a member of the Justice and Development Party, a moderate Islamist party. He is also a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. Khalfi is married and has two children.
