Naim Attallah is a Palestinian-born British businessman and publisher. He is the founder and chairman of Quartet Books, a publishing house based in London. He is also the founder and chairman of Attallah & Co., a business consultancy. Attallah was born in Haifa, Palestine, in 1931. He attended the American University of Beirut, where he studied economics and political science. After graduating, he moved to London, where he worked in the publishing industry. In 1974, Attallah founded Quartet Books, a publishing house that specializes in non-fiction books. He has since published over 500 titles, including works by authors such as Salman Rushdie, John le Carré, and Doris Lessing. In addition to his publishing business, Attallah is also the founder and chairman of Attallah & Co., a business consultancy. He has advised numerous companies, including British Airways, the Bank of England, and the BBC. Attallah has been awarded numerous honors for his work, including an honorary doctorate from the University of Westminster and an honorary fellowship from the Royal Society of Arts. He was also appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2004.
