Niki Kerameus is a Greek politician who has served as the Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs since 2019. She was born on 18 July 1980 in Athens, Greece. She is the daughter of former Minister of Justice, Konstantinos Kerameus. Kerameus studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and graduated in 2003. She then went on to pursue a Master's degree in European Law at the University of Amsterdam. Kerameus began her political career in 2004, when she was elected as a Member of the European Parliament for the New Democracy party. She was re-elected in 2009 and 2014. In 2015, she was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. In 2019, Kerameus was appointed as the Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. She has been credited with introducing a number of reforms to the Greek education system, including the introduction of a new curriculum and the introduction of a new system of student assessment.
