Olga Munteanu is a Romanian gymnast who was born on 18 October, 1927. She is best known for her performance at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, where she won a bronze medal in the team all-around event. Munteanu began her gymnastics career at the age of 12, and by the time she was 15, she was already competing in international competitions. She won her first international medal in 1947, when she won a bronze medal in the team all-around event at the World Championships in Prague. In 1952, Munteanu competed in the Summer Olympics in Helsinki, where she won a bronze medal in the team all-around event. She also competed in the individual all-around event, but did not medal. Munteanu retired from competitive gymnastics in 1954, and went on to become a coach. She coached the Romanian national team from 1956 to 1960, and then went on to coach the Soviet Union's national team from 1960 to 1964. Munteanu is now 96 years old. She is married and has two children. She currently lives in Romania.
