He is best known for his work on films such as The Leopard (1963), The Conformist (1970), and The Garden of the Finzi-Continis (1971). Bianchini began his career as an assistant director in the 1950s, working on films such as The White Sheik (1952) and The Bigamist (1953). He then went on to direct his own films, including The Leopard (1963), which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He also directed The Conformist (1970) and The Garden of the Finzi-Continis (1971), both of which were nominated for Academy Awards.
