Paul-André Crépeau is a Canadian legal scholar and professor emeritus at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal. He is a former president of the Canadian Bar Association and a former president of the International Academy of Comparative Law. Crépeau was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1948. He then attended the University of Montreal, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1951 and a Doctor of Civil Law degree in 1954. Crépeau began his career as a professor at the University of Montreal in 1954, and was appointed full professor in 1962. He was appointed dean of the Faculty of Law in 1967, and served in that position until 1972. He was appointed president of the Canadian Bar Association in 1975, and served in that position until 1977. Crépeau has written extensively on the topics of civil law, private international law, and comparative law. He has also served as a consultant to the United Nations, the World Bank, and the International Labour Organization. As of 2021, Paul-André Crépeau's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.
