Percy May (gymnast) is a Welsh gymnast who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. He was born on 6 October 1927 in Swansea, Wales. May began his gymnastics career at the age of 14, when he joined the Swansea Gymnastics Club. He quickly rose to prominence, winning the Welsh Junior Championships in 1945 and the British Junior Championships in 1946. In 1948, May was selected to represent Great Britain at the Summer Olympics in London. He competed in the men's individual all-around event, finishing in 11th place. May continued to compete in gymnastics until the late 1950s, winning numerous medals at the British Championships. He also served as a coach and judge for the sport. May was inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. He is also a member of the British Gymnastics Hall of Fame. May is now retired and lives in Swansea. He is married and has two children.
