He went on to direct several other films, including The Barbarian Invasions, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2003. In addition to his work as a director, Phil Comeau has also produced and written several films. He has also served as a jury member at various film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival.
