Piotr Wilczewski is a Polish professional boxer who has held multiple world titles in the light welterweight and welterweight divisions. He is a two-time European champion, a two-time WBC International champion, and a former WBC Silver champion. Wilczewski was born on 9 August 1978 in Dzierżoniów, Poland. He began boxing at the age of 12 and had his first amateur fight at the age of 15. He won the Polish amateur championships in 1997 and 1998. Wilczewski turned professional in 1999 and won his first professional fight in 2000. He won the WBC International light welterweight title in 2003 and the WBC Silver light welterweight title in 2004. He won the European light welterweight title in 2006 and the European welterweight title in 2008. Wilczewski has fought some of the biggest names in boxing, including Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, and Paulie Malignaggi. He has a professional record of 41 wins (25 by knockout) and 8 losses. Wilczewski is married and has two children. He currently lives in Warsaw, Poland.
