Ram Sharan Yadav is a veteran Indian politician who has served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Khagaria constituency in Bihar. He was born on 15 January 1926 in Chukti Mansi, Khagaria District, British India. He is a member of the Indian National Congress party. Yadav completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Patna University in 1947. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1957 to 1967. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1971 and served as a Member of Parliament until 1977. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1980 and served until 1989. Yadav has held several important positions in the government, including Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Government of India from 1980 to 1982, Minister of State for Railways from 1982 to 1984, and Minister of State for Agriculture from 1984 to 1989. Yadav is married to Shanti Devi and has two sons and two daughters. He is 79 years old.
