Rameshwar Thakur is a veteran Indian politician who has served as the Chief Minister of Bihar from 2005 to 2006. He was born on 28 July 1925 in a small village in Jharkhand, India. He is a member of the Indian National Congress party. Rameshwar Thakur completed his schooling from a local school in his village and went on to pursue a degree in law from Patna University. He started his political career in the early 1950s and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1957. He served as a minister in the state government from 1967 to 1977. Rameshwar Thakur was appointed as the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2005 and served in the post until 2006. He was also a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2006 to 2012. He has also served as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh from 2012 to 2014. Rameshwar Thakur is currently 90 years old. He has a height of 5 feet 8 inches and weighs around 70 kg.
