Rex Allen was an American actor, singer, and songwriter who was known as "The Arizona Cowboy" and "The Voice of the West". He was born on December 31, 1920 in Willcox, Arizona. He began his career as a singer and songwriter in the 1940s, and went on to become a popular country music star in the 1950s and 1960s. He also starred in several western films and television shows, and was the narrator for many Disney films. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. At the time of his death in 1999, he had a net worth of $2 million.
