Rick Goldring is a Canadian politician who has served as the mayor of Burlington, Ontario since 2010. He was born in Paris, Ontario in 1957 and attended the University of Waterloo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Goldring was first elected to the Burlington City Council in 2000 and served as a councillor until 2010, when he was elected mayor. He was re-elected in 2014 and 2018. Goldring is married to his wife, Pat, and they have two children. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Burlington and the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation and the Burlington Community Foundation. Goldring is an active member of the community and has been involved in numerous charitable and volunteer activities. He is a strong advocate for the environment and has been a leader in the city's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
