Timeline
In 2008, he was cast in the world premiere of Erin Kamler's "Divorce: The Musical" at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood. Originally slated to run for only a few weeks, "Divorce: The Musical" was extended for months with The Los Angeles Times calling it "Genuinely artful, a vivid mosaic" and Mr. Segall's performance as "simply terrific, brimming with a raw emotionalism that is heart-rending.
Mr. Segall began performing on stage at the age of 2. At the age of 4, he was cast as series regular Ricky Stevens on "The Partridge Family". He would go on to work in television and film on projects such as "Little House On The Prairie", "Police Woman", "The Blue Knight", "Fernwood Tonight", "Temperatures Rising", "How To Eat Like A Child" with Dick Van Dyke, "The Last Married Couple In America", "Oh God Book II", "I Love LIberty", "Laker Girls", "The Tonight Show", "The Merv Griffin Show", "The Mike Douglas Show", and two seasons as a series regular on "The Tim Conway Show". At the age of 12, his attentions turned to theatre as he was cast in Anthony Newley's musical "Chaplin". Thereafter, he was cast as Eugene in two different productions of Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs" followed by his portraying that same character in the other two installments of the Neil Simon trilogy, namely, "Biloxi Blues" and "Broadway Bound". He went on to do productions of "Come Blow Your Horn", "I'm Not Rappaport", "The Music Man", and "Danny & The Deep Blue Sea". Some of Mr. Segall's favorite parts have been the roles of Fagin in "Oliver", Tevye in "Fiddler On The Roof", Claudius in "Hamlet" (which he also directed) and "Saint John In Exile": a one-person play originated by Dean Jones (Mr. Segall is the only other actor Mr. Jones has ever allowed to do the show). In 2004, he became the Director of The Harvest Academy Conservatory of Fine Art with primary teaching/training contributions in Theatre.
Father is Rick Segall, co-founder of Lake Ronkonkoma, New York's Psychedelic Pop group The Smubbs best known for "Rosery Ann" and "The Shadows Of A Dream" which was in existence from 1964 to 1970. This Is The End Of The Night was their only album, released in 1969.
