Robert Balser is a renowned American animator, director, and art director. He is best known for his work on the classic animated films Yellow Submarine (1968) and The Point! (1971). He was born on March 25, 1927 in Rochester, New York. Balser began his career in animation in the 1950s, working as an animator on the classic television series Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show. He then moved on to work as an art director and director on the feature films Yellow Submarine and The Point!. Balser has also worked on a number of other animated films, including The Hobbit (1977), The Last Unicorn (1982), and The Brave Little Toaster (1987). He has also directed several television series, including The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1988-1991) and The Little Mermaid (1992-1994). Balser has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
