Robert Bauval is an Egyptologist, author, and lecturer. He is best known for his Orion Correlation Theory, which proposes a connection between the Great Pyramid of Giza and the stars of the constellation Orion. He is the author of several books, including The Orion Mystery, Keeper of Genesis, and Black Genesis. Bauval was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1948. He moved to England in 1974 and studied civil engineering at the University of London. He later worked as a project manager in the construction industry. In the early 1990s, Bauval began to research the Great Pyramid of Giza and its relationship to the stars of the constellation Orion. He proposed the Orion Correlation Theory, which suggests that the three main pyramids of Giza are aligned with the three stars of Orion's Belt. Bauval has written several books on the subject, including The Orion Mystery, Keeper of Genesis, and Black Genesis. He has also appeared in several documentaries, including Ancient Aliens and The Pyramid Code. Bauval is currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a member of the Egypt Exploration Society.
