Robin Fitton was born in 1928 in England. He is a former racing driver who competed in Formula One and Formula Two. He was a member of the British Racing Drivers' Club and was the first British driver to win a Formula One race. Fitton began his racing career in 1949, competing in Formula Three and Formula Two. He made his Formula One debut in 1952, driving for the Connaught team. He achieved his first podium finish in the 1953 British Grand Prix, finishing third. He went on to compete in the 1954 and 1955 Formula One seasons, but failed to score any points. In 1956, Fitton joined the Vanwall team and won the British Grand Prix, becoming the first British driver to win a Formula One race. He also finished second in the 1957 Monaco Grand Prix and third in the 1958 Dutch Grand Prix. He retired from Formula One at the end of the 1958 season. Fitton continued to race in Formula Two until 1962, when he retired from racing. He later became a successful businessman and was a director of the British Racing Drivers' Club. Fitton is now 92 years old. He has an estimated net worth of $10 million.
