Roger Tallon was a French industrial designer, architect, and interior designer. He was born in Paris in 1929 and studied at the École des Arts Appliqués and the École des Beaux-Arts. He was a professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers. Tallon is best known for his work in industrial design, particularly his designs for the SNCF, the French national railway company. He designed the TGV high-speed train, the RER suburban train, and the TGV Duplex double-decker train. He also designed the iconic orange and yellow SNCF logo. Tallon also designed furniture, lighting, and other products for companies such as Air France, Air Inter, and the French Ministry of Culture. He was awarded the Grand Prix National de Design in 1988 and the Grand Prix de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1992. Tallon died in Paris in 2011 at the age of 82.
