Romek Marber was born into a Jewish family in Turek, Poland. He was the youngest of four children. He was educated in a Jewish school and later attended a technical school in Lodz. At the age of 16, Marber was sent to a labor camp in Germany. He was later transferred to a concentration camp in Auschwitz, where he was forced to work in a factory. After the war, Marber moved to Israel and worked as a carpenter. In the 1950s, Marber moved to London, where he worked as a tailor. He later opened his own tailoring business, which he ran for over 40 years. Marber is now retired and lives in London. He is 96 years old. Marber has never married and has no children. He is a philanthropist and has donated to numerous charities. He is also an active member of the Jewish community in London.
