Ronald Bell is an American musician, composer, and actor. He is best known as a founding member of the band Kool & the Gang. He is also the co-founder of the record label De-Lite Records. Bell was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended Lincoln High School, where he met Robert "Kool" Bell, his future bandmate. He began playing the saxophone at the age of nine and the piano at the age of twelve. In 1964, Bell and Robert Bell formed Kool & the Gang. The band released their first album in 1969 and went on to become one of the most successful funk and R&B bands of the 1970s and 1980s. They released a string of hit singles, including "Jungle Boogie," "Celebration," and "Get Down On It." In addition to his work with Kool & the Gang, Bell has composed music for films, television shows, and commercials. He has also acted in a few films, including the 1985 comedy "Brewster's Millions." Bell has been married to his wife, Tia Sinclair Bell, since 1975. They have two children, Khalis and Kharisma. As of 2021, Ronald Bell's net worth is estimated to be roughly $20 million.
