Rory Markas was born on 20 December, 1955 in California, United States. He was a radio and television broadcaster who worked for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball team. He was also a play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team. Markas began his broadcasting career in the early 1980s, working for KFRC-AM in San Francisco. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked for KABC-AM and KLOS-FM. He also worked for KFWB-AM and KMPC-AM. Markas was the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Kings from 1989 to 1995. He then moved to the Angels, where he was the team's radio play-by-play announcer from 1996 to 2009. He also worked as a television broadcaster for the Angels from 2002 to 2009. Markas died on January 4, 2010, at the age of 54, after suffering from a brain aneurysm. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. Rory Markas had an estimated net worth of $2 million at the time of his death. He earned most of his wealth from his career as a radio and television broadcaster.
