She was best known for her roles in films such as The White Angel (1936), The Last Waltz (1937), and The Red Poppy (1939). Barsony began her career in the theater, performing in plays in Budapest and Vienna. She made her film debut in 1933 in the Hungarian film The White Angel. She went on to appear in several other Hungarian films before making her international debut in the 1936 British film The White Angel. She then appeared in several other international films, including the 1937 German film The Last Waltz and the 1939 French film The Red Poppy. Barsony's career was interrupted by World War II, during which she was interned in a concentration camp. After the war, she returned to acting, appearing in several Hungarian films.
