Samuel Cuburu is a Mexican former footballer who played as a forward. He began his career in the youth divisions of Club Deportivo Veracruz in 1945, and made his professional debut in 1947. He went on to play for several clubs in Mexico, including Club Deportivo Veracruz, Club Deportivo Guadalajara, Club Deportivo Toluca, and Club Deportivo Puebla. He also had a brief stint in the United States with the Los Angeles Toros in 1968. Cuburu was a prolific goalscorer, and was the top scorer in the Mexican Primera División in the 1951–52 season. He was also part of the Mexico national team that won the 1957 CONCACAF Championship. Cuburu retired from football in 1971, and currently lives in Mexico City. He is 95 years old.
