Sári Kürthy was a Hungarian actress and singer who was active in the early 20th century. She was born on 29 September 1874 in Kalocsa, Hungary. She began her career as a singer in the operetta theater in Budapest, and later moved to Vienna, where she became a star of the Viennese operetta stage. She was known for her roles in operettas such as The Merry Widow, The Gypsy Baron, and The White Horse Inn. Kürthy was also a successful film actress, appearing in over 30 films between 1914 and 1933. Her most notable roles were in the silent films The White Horse Inn (1926) and The Gypsy Baron (1927). Kürthy was married to the actor and director Paul Wegener, with whom she had two children. She died on 15 April 1933 in Vienna, Austria.
