Scott is the President of Jazzical Music Productions, which is a music production house founded by MIDI wizard and electronic music pioneer Clovice Lewis. His recording studio produces a wide variety of commercial music and artists. As a recording artist and engineer, Scott has written award winning commercials for AT&T Cable, and he has produced CDs for just about every style of musical artist. Scott's work in the studio includes award winning music from China and India, and he recently worked with the internationally famous vocal a capella group, "The House Jacks". Scott studied music at Cal State Hayward, where he concentrated on jazz and classical guitar, and also studied composition, arranging and jazz theory with Dave Eshleman. Scott also holds a bachelor's degree in management from San Diego State University and has been involved in the computer industry as a programmer and operator since the 1970's. As a professional musician Scott has a long and diverse background. He is endorsed by several major music companies including Mesa engineering, Moze Custom Handmade Guitars and Dean Markley. As a performer, Scott has had the pleasure of playing with numerous great players, including mandolin virtuoso David Grisman, pedal steel legend Bobby Black, plus members of the Drifters, Santana, The Greg Allman Band, Robben Ford Band, John Lee Hooker, and The Tempations. Scott's musical roots are firmly entrenched in blues, bluegrass, ragtime, and slide guitar. He also has a strong background in solo jazz guitar, fingerstyle guitar, funk, classical, country, rock and reggae guitar. A kid who picked up his first guitar at the age of seven, Scott performed his first professional gig at the age of twelve. Since then, Scott has performed in countless bands and venues, including the famous Fillmore West, in San Francisco, CA. Scott has hosted cable television shows including "The Bay Area Rhythm Section" which showcased local musical artists. He also authored a book on, "Guitar Theory and Harmony" and he has written articles for a local music magazines.
