Seyed Kazem Alavipanah is a professor of Persian literature at the University of Tehran. He is a renowned scholar of Persian literature and has published numerous books and articles on the subject. He has also served as the head of the Department of Persian Literature at the University of Tehran. Alavipanah was born in Abarkooh, Iran in 1958. He received his bachelor's degree in Persian literature from the University of Tehran in 1981 and his master's degree in Persian literature from the same university in 1984. Alavipanah has held various positions at the University of Tehran, including professor of Persian literature, head of the Department of Persian Literature, and director of the Institute of Persian Studies. He has also served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Michigan. Alavipanah has published numerous books and articles on Persian literature, including The Poetics of Persian Poetry, The Art of Persian Poetry, and The History of Persian Literature. He has also served as the editor of several journals, including the Journal of Persian Literature and the Iranian Studies Journal. Alavipanah is married and has two children.
