He is best known for his work with the band The Eagles, for which he wrote and co-wrote several songs, including "Take It Easy" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling". He has also worked with other artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, and Don Henley. Sherwood Ball was born on December 22, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. He began playing music at an early age, learning to play the guitar and piano. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied music and composition. Sherwood Ball has released several solo albums, including "Sherwood Ball" (1975), "Sherwood Ball II" (1977), and "Sherwood Ball III" (1980). He has also released several albums with The Eagles, including "On the Border" (1974), "One of These Nights" (1975), and "The Long Run" (1979). Sherwood Ball has won several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for "Take It Easy" in 1973.
