Si Zentner was an American trombonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He was born in New York City and began playing the trombone at the age of 12. He attended the Juilliard School of Music and then joined the CBS Orchestra in 1939. He was a member of the CBS Orchestra for over 20 years, and during that time he wrote and arranged music for the orchestra. In the 1950s, Zentner formed his own band, the Si Zentner Orchestra, and released several albums. He also wrote and arranged music for television shows, movies, and commercials. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on the television show The Red Skelton Show. Zentner was also a prolific composer and arranger of jazz music. He wrote and arranged music for many jazz greats, including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Stan Kenton. He also wrote and arranged music for the film The Great Race. Si Zentner passed away in 2002 at the age of 85. His net worth at the time of his death is unknown.

Lead trombonist in the Les Brown orchestra in 1940, later on variously with Harry James and Jimmy Dorsey, followed by work as a staff musician with MGM. Started up his own orchestra in L.A. in 1957 with arrangements by pianist Bob Florence. Recordings for Victor and Liberty well into the late 1960's, as well as engagements in Las Vegas and one-nighters in ballrooms and country clubs.
