Living with musician and Romanian opera composer John Jewell, whom she met at Casa Italiana Opera after a rehearsal for a production of Turandot. John got on his knees and offered Silvana a lead role in another play he'd been cast in, Judita, about two young lovers in 17th Century Croatia, who also lead a revolution against the Turks. Silvana got the role, and they've been friends ever since.

Silvana can be seen near the stage at the Orpheum and Wilshire Bell Theatre, in one of the televised episodes for the 2008 season of America's Got Talent. Silvana auditioned (and was called back twice) by singing and playing the keyboard, with a traditional Hebrew arrangement for 'Rock of Ages', and the gospel hit 'Ain't Misbehavin'. She attended the audition quite by chance, having gone to it with a friend who needed a ride and being asked if she wanted to sing too.
A five minute clip from "Beyond Baklava", Silvana's signature auteur film, was featured on Steven Spielberg's site "The Lot", and gathered much attention as the second most viewed project in the first two weeks of 2007.
Debuted her original pro-peace song "Beirut" (which she co-wrote in 2006 under the pen name of KiTtYkAt, with guitarist Mike Daniels) at Kulak's Woodshed in the North Hollywood, CA arts and music district, during a live web broadcast at the Monday Night Open Mic there, in the spring of 2007. Silvana sang & played the piano, and Mike played the guitar accompaniment.
In 2003 Silvana lived in Glendale, in a house by a golf course with a recording studio upstairs, and studied music and singing at Glendale Community College.
A lyric soprano who has performed with Casa Italiana Opera (2001-2, 2007), the UCLA Campus Choir (2004), and Glendale College Jazz Choir (2005). Silvana understudied the role of Liu in a spring 2007 production of Puccini's "Turandot;" and before that she was seen as both a gypsy and a nun in a downtown Los Angeles production of Verdi's "Il Trovatore."
