Slavoljub Besic is an actor from Serbia who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. He is best known for his roles in the films The Battle of Kosovo (1989), The Wounds (1998), and The Trap (1999). Besic was born in Kraljevo, Serbia, Yugoslavia on 17 May 1931. He studied acting at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, and began his career in the theater in the 1950s. He made his film debut in the 1960s, and has since appeared in over 50 films and television shows. Besic has won numerous awards for his work, including the Golden Arena for Best Actor at the Pula Film Festival in 1989, and the Golden Arena for Best Supporting Actor at the Pula Film Festival in 1998. He has also been nominated for several awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Foreign Language Film in 1999. Besic is married to actress Milena Dravic, and they have two children. He currently resides in Belgrade, Serbia.
