He also directed feature films, including The Fighting Devil Dogs, The Lone Ranger Rides Again, and The Crimson Ghost. Bennet was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA on 5 January 1893. He began his career in the film industry in 1915, working as an assistant director for the Vitagraph Company. He then moved to Universal Pictures, where he worked as a director and producer. In the 1930s, Bennet began directing serials for Republic Pictures. He directed a total of twenty-one serials, including The Adventures of Captain Marvel, The Masked Marvel, and The Adventures of Captain America. He also directed feature films, including The Fighting Devil Dogs, The Lone Ranger Rides Again, and The Crimson Ghost. Bennet died on 28 April 1987 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was 94 years old.
