Ștefan Ghiță is a Romanian skier who was born on 16 February, 1926 in Brașov, Romania. He is best known for his success in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where he won a bronze medal in the men's combined event. He also competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway, where he finished in fourth place in the men's combined event. Ghiță began skiing at the age of 12 and was soon competing in local competitions. He was selected to represent Romania at the 1948 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in the men's combined event.
