Steve Alatorre is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers. He was born on September 3, 1959 in Los Angeles County, California. Alatorre attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he was a three-year starter at quarterback. He was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection and was named the team's MVP in 1981. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. Alatorre played for the Rams from 1982 to 1984 and then for the San Diego Chargers from 1985 to 1987. He was the Chargers' starting quarterback in 1986 and 1987. He finished his career with a total of 4,845 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions. Alatorre is currently 65 years old. He has a height of 6 feet and 2 inches and weighs 215 pounds.
