She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won gold in the women's quadruple sculls at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She also won a bronze medal in the women's quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Meiyun stands at 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m) tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds (64 kg). She is currently married and has two children. Meiyun began her rowing career in 1997 and has since become one of the most successful rowers in the world. She has won numerous medals at the World Rowing Championships, including gold medals in the women's quadruple sculls in 2003, 2005, and 2007. Meiyun has also won numerous awards for her rowing achievements, including the Chinese National Sports Award in 2004 and the Chinese National Sports Award for Outstanding Athlete in 2008.
