Teresa Berkin is an American actress best known for her roles in the films The Last Picture Show (1971), The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid (1972), and The Long Goodbye (1973). She has also appeared in television series such as The Waltons, The Rockford Files, and The Streets of San Francisco. Berkin was born on 11 November 1954 in Cherry Point, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied drama. Berkin's first film role was in The Last Picture Show (1971), in which she played the role of Jacy Farrow. She then appeared in The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid (1972) and The Long Goodbye (1973). She also had a recurring role in the television series The Waltons, playing the role of Mary Ellen Walton. Berkin has also appeared in numerous television series, including The Rockford Files, The Streets of San Francisco, and The Love Boat. She has also appeared in several made-for-television movies, including The Night the City Screamed (1980) and The Return of Marcus Welby, M.D. (1984). Berkin is currently retired from acting and lives in Los Angeles, California. She is married to actor and director Robert Berkin.
