Tim Manchin is an American attorney and politician who has served as the West Virginia Secretary of State since 2017. He is the son of former West Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator Joe Manchin. Tim Manchin was born on July 6, 1955 in Farmington, West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. He then attended West Virginia University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1980. Manchin began his career as an attorney in 1980, and he was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 1982. He served in the House of Delegates until 1996, when he was elected to the West Virginia Senate. He served in the Senate until 2017, when he was appointed West Virginia Secretary of State. Manchin is married to Gayle Manchin, and they have two children. He is 65 years old. As of 2021, Tim Manchin's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.

Tim Manchin was born in 1955 in Farmington, West Virginia to Ann Manchin and Joseph Manchin II. He graduated from Bridgeport High School. He got a B.S. cum laude from West Virginia University in 1977 and his J.D. from West Virginia College of Law in 1980. In 2011, after his law partner of 25 years became a West Virginia circuit court judge, Manchin founded the Manchin Injury Law Group in Fairmont, West Virginia.
