Tom Alweendo is a Namibian politician and former Prime Minister of Namibia. He was born on 17 March 1958 in Oshana Region, Namibia. He is currently 66 years old. Alweendo attended the University of Namibia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations. He also holds a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the University of London. Alweendo began his political career in 1989, when he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was later appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1995. In 2002, he was appointed as the Prime Minister of Namibia, a position he held until 2005. Alweendo is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the National Planning Commission of Namibia. He is also a member of the African Union's High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows. Alweendo's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
